About Me
I’m Lara, a licensed therapist, and I’m here to overcome unconscious blocks holding you back and give you the tools you need to stay afloat – whatever life throws at you.
My approach to therapy
I treat the person, not the label. Whatever you are currently struggling with, my method of therapy creates a tailored plan which takes into account you and your personal experience. I’m not here to “fix” you because I don’t believe that you’re broken – instead, I’m here to help you understand the unconscious roots of your issue and reconnect you with your own inner resources and strengths to overcome it. Let’s make lasting change together.
My qualifications
- Degree in Psychology (BSc) – Durham University 2016
Certificate in Counselling – City University, London
- Neurolinguistic Processing (NLP) Practitioner
Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy 2025 – Quest Institute, training under Trevor Silvester (accredited by the National Council of Hypnotherapy)
I believe everyone has a story and also the power to rewrite it.

Who am I?
Born and raised in London, I made Valencia, Spain my home nearly a decade ago. Here’s a few things you might want to know about me:
An expat – moving abroad came with a lot of emotional baggage. When you leave your family and friends behind to start from scratch, it can bring up a lot of stuff. From finding the confidence to put yourself out there in new social circles, to feeling totally lost and alone like you’ll never find your people – trust me. I’ve been there!
A fellow struggler – I know what it’s like to feel stuck – from moving abroad and leaving everything I know behind to coping with big life shifts, managing stress and anxiety, and building resilience in the face of setbacks and rejection. I’m still learning and growing, applying my knowledge to help myself and help others do the same.
A millennial – in a world of meaningless online dating and unrealistic body standards to constant struggles with career and finances, this generation has been handed a pretty crappy set of cards. Whether you’re feeling totally lost not knowing what sector you want to work in or are overwhelmed by the prospect of finding love in a sea of dating profiles, I totally get it. Let’s work through it together.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me trying new restaurants, writing, on the pilates reformer machine or exploring new places.
