Who is online therapy for women for?
Adolescent women
Teenage years and adolescence can bring up new challenges that can feel hard to cope with. From body changes to doubts about the future, it can feel like a really unstable time. However, it's also a really beautiful time to get online therapy for women as you learn the tools and techniques that will help you grow into the version of you that you want to be.
The "lost" years
What I call the "lost" years can really come at any point of your life. From a breakup that knocks your confidence to a lack of purpose in your career or identity shift after moving abroad. Whatever it is, it is normal to feel lost at some point of your life. Online therapy for women can help you feel like yourself again, reconnecting you with your inner resources and learning a new set of tools to help you decide who you want to be.
Prenatal and pregnancy
If you're a soon-to-be mum, you're probably feeling anxious, excited and fearful - often all at the same time. Pregnancy and motherhood can be an amazing experience but it can also be emotionally, physically and mentally challenging. Specialised therapy for pregnant women can explore all of this, while providing personalised techniques to prepare a calm, confident and empowered birth. It also deals with the identity shift of becoming a first-time mother so that you're mentally prepared and feeling resourceful and ready.
Relationships & marital problems
Rocky relationships, breakups or marital problems can all impact your mental health. Taking the time to seek out online therapy for women gives you a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to talk about it. In these sessions, you can reestablish your priorities and needs, rebuild confidence after a separation and learn how to set boundaries that actually stick. You may also want to explore therapy for couples.
Menopause and post-menopause
One of the most important times to seek out online therapy for women is around the menopause. The huge identity shift that occurs during this period is rarely discussed but so important. In these sessions, we explore any emotions that menopause might be bringing up for you and how to handle them. As you go into a new stage of your life, therapy gives you the freedom to decide what you want that to look like.
